There's a scene that almost every Pakistani family knows too well. A relative is visiting from abroad — maybe from London, Dubai, or New York — and before they've even booked their flight, the requests start pouring in. A specific perfume. A particular skincare brand. A shade of foundation that just doesn't exist here. And then comes the guilt, the overpacked suitcases, the customs anxiety, and the inevitable disappointment when something gets left behind or swapped for a cheaper alternative.
I was tired of that scene. And in 2012, I decided to do something about it.
The Problem No One Was Solving
For decades, Pakistani consumers faced a frustrating reality: the international beauty and lifestyle brands they loved were simply out of reach. Not because they couldn't afford them. Not because they didn't deserve them. But because no one had built a reliable bridge between those brands and the Pakistani market.
The alternatives were grim. You either burdened your relatives abroad with a shopping list, waited months for an uncertain delivery, or took your chances with the local grey market — where counterfeits were rampant and inflated prices were the norm. Paying double for a product that turned out to be fake wasn't just frustrating. It was a betrayal of trust.
Pakistani consumers deserved better. They deserved authenticity, fair pricing, and the dignity of shopping for what they love without compromise.
Why I Founded Fashionista
My name is Humaira, and I founded Fashionista in 2012 with one clear mission: to serve as the bridge — the payoneer — between the world's most coveted international brands and the Pakistani consumer who had been left out of the conversation for far too long.
I wanted to create a space where a woman in Karachi could access the same Victoria's Secret fragrance mist as someone shopping in New York. Where a skincare enthusiast in Lahore could get her hands on the same Korean serums trending globally. Where no one had to ask a cousin in Canada to "just bring one small thing" ever again.
That vision became Fashionista.
Built on Authenticity, Driven by Trust
From day one, authenticity has been non-negotiable for us. Every product we carry is 100% genuine — sourced directly and verified before it ever reaches your hands. No counterfeits. No grey market markups. No compromises.
We know that trust is hard to earn and easy to lose, especially in a market that has been burned before. That's why we've spent over a decade building relationships with international brands, refining our sourcing process, and standing behind every single product we sell.
More Than a Store — A Movement
Fashionista was never just about selling products. It was about changing the narrative for Pakistani consumers. It was about saying: you belong in this conversation. The global beauty and lifestyle market isn't just for people in the West — it's for every woman in Pakistan who has a wishlist, a standard, and the right to shop without settling.
Over the years, we've grown from a small idea into a trusted destination for thousands of customers across Pakistan. And with every order we fulfill, every authentic product we deliver, and every suitcase we save a relative from overpacking — we feel the mission coming to life.
The Journey Continues
We're proud of how far we've come since 2012. But we're even more excited about where we're going. New brands, new categories, and an unwavering commitment to the Pakistani consumer who deserves nothing but the best.
Thank you for being part of this story. Every purchase you make is a vote for authenticity, for access, and for a Pakistan where no one has to ask someone abroad to bring their favourite things home.
Welcome to Fashionista. This was always for you.
